There is nothing like an excellent male body showing off its prowess.  The buttocks can be associated with shame (and along with it, punishment, penance, and/or humor) but they can also be gloriously proud.

There is an adage among scouts that the shape of a player's butt helps project what the prospect will become. Kids with flat butts generally don't fill out much. Kids with a curved butt will add strength to their frame—what the scouts call good weight. "Roy looked like he could easily carry another 15 to 20 pounds," says Mike Arbuckle, who ran the draft for the Phillies then and now is a senior adviser to the general manager in Kansas City.

Office Hours

The Dean of Discipline has a choice of punishments available to him.  Oddly enough, for certain guys he chooses to spank, regardless of the reason for the office visit.  

Like waving a red flag in front of a bull.

Stable boys are another traditional beneficiary of corporal punishment.  Personally I've always found myself attracted to the unstable boys...

Texas Tradition

Between home, high school and horseplay the cowboy backside has gotten more than its share of lickins.  One can only imagine what went on between bunkhouse buddies on the ranches.  Bored, horny and raised on the paddle and strap, the main forms of entertainment being bets and wagers of various kinds...

I could have enjoyed myself mightily.

Athletic training

It's easy to see why there has historically been such a close association between athletic training and corporal punishment.  Coaches can be excused if they can't keep their hands/paddles/etc. off these magnificent buttocks.
